ATV, UTV & Lawn Tires in San Diego, CA

San Diego Tire Shop mounts, balances, and repairs tires for ATVs, UTVs, riding mowers, golf carts, and other small-wheel equipment, not just cars and trucks. Bring in the wheel alone or the whole machine; low-speed, low-pressure tread patterns are stocked on site, and the shop's 5.0 rating comes from 39 Google reviews.

Most tire shops are built around passenger cars and light trucks, and they wave off anything smaller — an ATV wheel with an 8-inch bead or a riding mower tire that holds 10 PSI doesn't fit their equipment or their pricing. San Diego Tire Shop handles that end of the business: UTVs, quads, zero-turn mowers, garden tractors, and golf carts all get mounted and balanced on the same rack as a sedan.

What determines the visit is usually the wheel itself, not the machine. If it comes off with a lug wrench, drop off just the wheel and skip hauling the whole rig in. If it's pressed onto a hub or the lug nuts have corroded solid, bring the equipment itself and let the shop deal with it there.

What kinds of machines get tires here?

The shop isn't limited to one category of small-wheel equipment. Anything running a low-speed, low-pressure tire — the kind rated for a few miles an hour, not highway speed — is in scope.

  • ATVs and quads
  • UTVs and side-by-sides
  • Riding mowers and garden tractors
  • Golf carts
  • Utility trailers and wheelbarrows

Does an out-of-round wheel matter on equipment this small?

It matters more than most owners expect. A wobble that's invisible at 5 mph on a lawn shows up as a hard vibration once a UTV gets onto a dirt road at speed, and a bent rim on a mower can chew through a tire in a single season. The shop trues wheels before mounting a new tire, not after a customer comes back with the same complaint.

Is a mower tire really worth repairing instead of replacing?

Often, yes. A slow leak in a mower or golf-cart tire is usually a valve stem or a bead seal, not a structural failure, and both are a cheaper fix than a new tire and wheel. The exception is sidewall damage — once the cords show through a cracked sidewall, that tire is done regardless of how good the tread still looks.

Do I need to bring the whole ATV, or just the tire?

Either works. If the wheel comes off easily, dropping off just the wheel is usually faster; if it's pressed onto a hub or the lugs are rusted solid, bring the machine in and the shop will pull it there.

Do you handle golf cart tires?

Yes — golf cart tires run the same low-pressure mounting process as ATV and mower tires, just on a smaller rim. Bring the wheel or the cart, whichever is easier to transport.

Can a riding mower tire be repaired, or does it need to be replaced?

Most slow leaks are a valve stem or a bad bead seal and can be repaired. Sidewall cracking or exposed cords means the tire needs to be replaced, since a patch won't hold on a flexing sidewall.
